Jesus Christ, the Son of David and the Son of Abraham, has come to save
sinners – including those in His family tree.
1. From Abraham to David – He comes to save Gentile sinners. (vv. 1-6)
2. From David to the exile – He comes to save Jewish sinners. (vv. 7-11)
3. From the exile to the birth of Christ – He comes to bring eternal restoration.
(vv. 12-17)
