Christ has brought us near to God’s people by: 1) Making us citizens of God’s city (v. 19a), 2) Making us members of God’s family (v. 19b), Making us the materials of God’s temple: a) God’s revelation is the foundation (v. 20a), b) Christ Himself is the cornerstone (v. 20b), and c) God Himself dwells there by the Spirit (vv. 21-22).
